A delegation of the Pakistan Business Council Dubai held a constructive and engaging meeting today with His Excellency Mohammad Ali Rashed Lootah, President & CEO of Dubai Chambers, providing Pakistani business leaders with an important platform to discuss business challenges, opportunities and avenues for strengthening trade and investment between Pakistan and the UAE.
The meeting brought together members representing a diverse range of sectors, including real estate, general trading, building materials, electronics and other key business sectors. The primary objective of the meeting was to facilitate a direct and meaningful dialogue between the Pakistani business community and the leadership of Dubai Chambers, allowing members to openly share their business-related challenges, seek guidance and explore opportunities for growth and expansion.
Welcoming H.E. Mohammad Ali Rashed Lootah, Mr. Muhammad Shabbir Merchant, Chairman of Pakistan Business Council Dubai, expressed his sincere appreciation for the valuable time and support extended by the President & CEO of Dubai Chambers. He highlighted the importance of continued engagement between Dubai Chambers and the Pakistani business community and thanked H.E. Lootah for providing members with the opportunity to directly discuss their concerns and aspirations.
During the meeting, Mr. Iftikhar Ali Tatlah, Vice Chairman – Events & Media, highlighted the efforts of Pakistan Business Council Dubai to strengthen its engagement and visibility through new initiatives. He briefed H.E. Lootah on PBC’s ongoing efforts in areas including the PBC newsletter, enhanced social media presence, improved communication initiatives and new programmes designed to create greater value and engagement for members.
Mr. Khurram Khawaja, General Secretary of Pakistan Business Council Dubai, presented an overview of the PBC mobile application, highlighting its role in improving communication, member engagement and access to PBC activities and services. The application is part of PBC’s ongoing efforts towards digitalisation and providing members with a more convenient and connected platform.
Mr. Kamran Ahmed Riaz, Senior Vice Chairman , highlighted the initiatives being undertaken by Pakistan Business Council Dubai to promote and facilitate trade and business opportunities. He briefed H.E. Lootah on PBC’s various seminars, workshops, webinars, business networking initiatives and collaborations with Pakistani Chambers of Commerce and Industry, including Memoranda of Understanding (MoUs), aimed at strengthening business linkages and creating greater opportunities for bilateral trade and investment.
The meeting then proceeded into an open and interactive discussion with participating members, who shared their experiences, challenges and perspectives on doing business in Dubai. Several important business-related matters were discussed in detail, making the session highly constructive and fruitful.
H.E. Mohammad Ali Rashed Lootah assured the Pakistani business community of Dubai Chambers’ continued support and emphasised the Chamber’s commitment to maintaining a business-friendly environment and supporting companies operating in Dubai. He encouraged Pakistani businessmen to further explore opportunities in Dubai and to bring more Pakistani businesses and investments into the emirate, contributing towards the growth of bilateral trade and economic relations between Pakistan and the UAE.
H.E. Lootah also highlighted the international reach of Dubai Chambers and encouraged businesses to leverage its global network when expanding into international markets. He emphasised that businesses looking to expand beyond Dubai can benefit from the Chamber’s international presence and support, with Dubai Chambers and its teams available to assist businesses in identifying opportunities, establishing connections and entering new markets.
The meeting concluded on a positive note, with both sides expressing their commitment to strengthening cooperation, enhancing business-to-business connectivity and creating greater opportunities for Pakistani businesses in Dubai and across international markets.
