Pakistan Business Council Sharjah (PBCS) organized a grand community and business networking evening titled “A Tribute to the Visionary Leadership of Sharjah” at Pakistan Social Centre Sharjah.
The event brought together prominent business leaders, bankers, exchange professionals, community representatives, media personalities, PBCS members and distinguished guests. The evening was a celebration of Sharjah’s remarkable vision, leadership, development and its welcoming environment for the business community.
The event was attended by Mr. Ali Zeb Khan, Trade and Investment Counsellor of Pakistan to the UAE, Mr. Rashid ul Islam, Head of National Bank of Pakistan in the UAE, Mr. Khalid Chudhary, President of Pakistan Social Centre Sharjah, along with other distinguished guests and members of the Pakistan business council Sharjah.
Speaking on the occasion, Syed Saleem Akhtar, Senior Vice Chairman of Pakistan Business Council Sharjah, said that Sharjah has earned great respect through its visionary leadership, cultural values, economic development and support for businesses and communities.
He said that Pakistanis living and doing business in Sharjah consider the UAE their second home and deeply appreciate the opportunities, security and peaceful environment provided by the leadership of Sharjah.
He further emphasized that PBCS is committed to promoting positive business networking, cooperation and stronger relationships between the Pakistani business community and the wider business ecosystem of the UAE.
Mr. Khalid Chudhary, President of Pakistan Social Centre Sharjah, appreciated the efforts of Pakistan Business Council Sharjah in organizing the event and bringing together members of the business and community sectors.
He welcomed the collaboration between the two organizations and expressed his hope that the newly signed MOU would lead to greater cooperation, joint initiatives and opportunities for the Pakistani community in Sharjah.
Mr. Rashid ul Islam, Head of National Bank of Pakistan in the UAE, appreciated the initiative of PBCS and highlighted the importance of promoting formal banking channels and legal remittances to Pakistan.
He also praised the efforts of PBCS in bringing together leading bankers, exchange professionals and business leaders under one platform, creating valuable opportunities for networking and business cooperation.
Mr. Ali Zeb Khan, Trade and Investment Counsellor of Pakistan to the UAE, appreciated the excellent initiative and described the tribute to Sharjah’s visionary leadership as a meaningful effort to recognize the progress and development of the emirate.
He also appreciated PBCS for creating a platform that encourages business networking, trade relations and stronger connections between Pakistani entrepreneurs and the UAE business community.
A major highlight of the evening was the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) between Pakistan Business Council Sharjah and Pakistan Social Centre Sharjah.
The MOU was signed by Syed Saleem Akhtar, Senior Vice Chairman of PBCS, and Mr. Khalid Chudhary, President of Pakistan Social Centre Sharjah.
Following the signing, both organizations exchanged commemorative shields as a symbol of mutual respect, cooperation and commitment to working together.
The evening also featured a vibrant musical program.
Renowned singer Sonia Majeed presented a special song dedicated to the Ruler of Sharjah, which became one of the memorable highlights of the evening.
Famous Sufi Singer Ms. Annie Zaidi entertained the audience with beautiful Sufi performances, adding a rich cultural dimension to the celebration.
The event also provided a platform for emerging young talent, Mr.Rohail Mughal .A talented 15-year-old boy receiving appreciation from the audience for his impressive singing performance.
Singer Mr. Shahmeer Shazil delivered a live performance with the band, further adding energy and excitement to the evening.
As part of the program, gifts were distributed to the registered PBCS members who attended the event. Media personalities were also recognized with gifts for their continued support and coverage.
Shields and gifts were presented to the event sponsors and participating singers in appreciation of their valuable contribution and support.
The event reflected the collective efforts of the PBCS Working Group, sponsors, performers, media representatives and volunteers, whose dedication contributed to its successful execution.

The evening concluded with a delicious buffet dinner served to all guests and participants, providing an opportunity for further informal networking and interaction. In a draw executive member of PBCS Mr.Shazad Dar became lucky winner of Umrah Ticket.
